High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) is a highly versatile thermoplastic, highly impact-resistant and easy to print. It offers high rigidity, good dimensional stability and temperature resistance.
HIPS is mainly used in 3D printing as a support material due to its solubility in limonene. Its good mechanical properties also make it ideal for various applications such as toys, electronic equipment housings, boxes, tools, etc.
HIPS has good bed adhesion, low warping and curling, allowing high definition in printed parts.
We recommend using it as a support material for ABS or ASA parts.
Use natural and/or forced ventilation to ensure air renewal in the workspace.
